Tips for the Medical School Interview

Dr. Savett practiced primary care internal medicine for 30 years. At St. Thomas, he teaches a fall semester course called The Human Side of Medicine: Learning What It’s Like to be a Patient and What It’s Like to be a Physician. His book, of the same name, was published in May 2002 by Greenwood Publishing Group. Dr. Savett has served on the admissions committee of the University of Minnesota Medical School.

His advice is helpful for those who are already committed to a career in health care, who are beginning to consider it and wondering what it is like and especially those who are applying to a professional school in health care this year.
