Fonts

The font standards for St. Thomas site are Arial, Helvetica and Times. These fonts are universally found on workstations, and assure that the presentation is consistent regardless of location or manufacturer.

• Content: Arial 10 pt
• H1: Helvetica Bold 12 pt
• H2: Helvetica Bold 10 pt
• H3: Times Bold 10 pt
• H4: Times Bold 10 pt
• H5: Times Bold 10 pt
• H6: Times Bold 10 pt

Font type and size are controlled by a cascading style sheet (CSS). The CSS dictates font type and size across the entire St. Thomas site, so there is no need to specify font or size in the text editor, as long as you make selections from the style menu.

Tip: Copying and pasting content from other applications may bring over undesirable HTML code that will override the CSS. To prevent this, it is recommended that content be copied and pasted into Notepad first, then copied from Notepad into your Web authoring tool or content management system.
