The non-degree program allows you to take one or more courses from our SEIS Course Catalogwithout committing to a graduate certificate or master's degree.
[Maximum of six courses on either a credit or audit basis.]
You may register and attend SEIS courses even if you do not intend to earn a graduate certificate or a master’s degree. Non-degree students must apply and be admitted before registering for classes.
If you have a bachelor’s degree*, the course credits you earned in your non-degree program may be used as a base toward completion of a GPS graduate certificate or master's degree program.
Students who do not have a bachelor’s degree will not be allowed to continue in a graduate certificate or master’s degree program.
Non-degree students may not take the following courses: SEIS 776, SEIS 777, SEIS 778, SEIS 790, SEIS 795
Program Requirements Students taking courses on a credit basis must maintain a grade point average of 2.7 or better. Audited courses must be completed with a grade of “satisfactory.” Audited courses cannot be applied toward a certificate or master’s degree unless they are retaken for graduate credit. Non-degree students may take a maximum of six courses on either a credit or audit basis.
*A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a regionally-accredited institution in the U.S. (or international equivalent) OR proof of enrollment in a GPS international exchange program OR proof of a minimum of three years software development experience.
An overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.7 meets minimum requirements, but applicants with lower GPAs will be considered based on their professional experience.
