Post-Masters Graduate Certificate of Advanced Study
This certificate is available to software professionals who have already obtained a master's degree. The program offers an opportunity for professionals to enhance their expertise through an individually designed course of study.
Certificate completion criteria: To complete the Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) the student must complete five SEIS graduate courses with a GPA of 2.7 or better. Required Courses:
Five SEIS coursesexcluding the following: SEIS 600, SEIS 605, SEIS 610, SEIS 620, SEIS 621, SEIS 776, SEIS 777.
SEIS 778 = Internship/Seminar may be taken, but the course will not count toward the 15 credits required for completion of the certificate.
Courses from a previous master's degree cannot be used for the Certificate of Advanced Study. All must be SEIS courses.
Entrance Requirements: A master's degree in software, computer science, information technology, or an equivalent field from a regionally-accredited educational institution in the U.S. (or international equivalent) with an overall grade-point-average (GPA) of at least 2.7 (Applicants with a GPA less than 2.7 will be considered for provisional admission with their professional experience factored into the decision.)
