Convenient and welcoming
Graduate Programs in Software welcomes students from all cultures and professional backgrounds. Our programs have been designed for working professionals and offers flexibility by allowing you to control how quickly you move through the curriculum by tailoring your course load each semester. You can complete the program at your own pace. Most of our students finish in 2 – 7 years and the average is 3.5. We recommend one or two classes per term if you are working full-time.

During fall and spring terms, each class is offered once a week in the evenings (Monday – Thursday 5:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) or alternate Saturdays (8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). Summer term classes meet twice a week. Our program is offered on UST’s scenic St. Paul campus, located half way between both Minneapolis and St. Paul downtown areas (about 10 - 15 minutes drive by car or bus to either downtown).

Responsive and career-oriented
Career opportunities in the field of software engineering, software management, software systems and information technology are in high demand and growing each year. Our curriculum has been carefully designed to match real world needs and teach durable and fundamental ideas using the context of current practice. To accomplish this, lectures and discussions incorporate both case study/analysis, guest speakers, team projects/presentations and also students contribute their insight from a broad range of industries.

Our program began in 1985 and we have over 2700 alumni. We have served as a model for graduate level education and professional development.
