Career Highlights:
 
Dr. Jamshid Vayghan is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for IBM's internal CIO organization.  In this role, he is responsible for technical and information strategy for IBM's global sales transformation and its alignment with the business strategy.  Dr. Vayghan has a diverse career as executive, engineer, researcher, IT practitioner, and teacher.  He has worked in
three different continents.  He is a well respected expert in business transformation, enterprise information management, enterprise architecture, and data mining. 

Dr. Vayghan is an active member of global IT professional community and actively participates in a number of private, industry and academic advisory boards.  He is an adjunct faculty at University of Argosy, University of Minnesota and University of St. Thomas.  He is a senior member of IEEE. 
He is certified as Distinguished IT Architect by The Open Group.  He is on editorial board of “Electronic Commerce Research and Application” international journal.

Dr. Vayghan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science.
