Career Highlights: Currently Mr. Oelke is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of St. Thomas and a Senior Systems and Software Engineer at Banner Engineering. Mr. Oelke has more than 13 years experience in all aspects of software development. He has been involved extensively in all stages of OO project development life cycle, creating use cases, producing object oriented designs in UML from requirements specifications, development in C++, and testing and implementation. Dan has extensive work experience designing and debugging real time embedded systems in environments where debugging tools were either unavailable or impractical. He is familiar and fluent in a wide variety of languages including C++, C, HTML, Java, PHP, Perl, PowerPC, 68000, PIC, and 80x86 Assembly, Tcl/TK, and several other languages. Systems skills include Unix, (Linux, BSD, SunOS, Solaris, HP, Ultrix, etc), pSOS, ThreadX, VxWorks (embedded OSs), VAX/VMS, X-Windows, Windows, DOS. Dan possesses expertise in Embedded Systems, Networking Protocols, Object Oriented Design, Patterns and UML.
