Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Real-time Systems, and Software Product Lines. Career History:Dr. Bhabani Misra has been the Department Chair and Director of Graduate Programs in Software (GPS), University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, since 2002. Dr. Misra earned his doctorate degree and master’s degree in computer engineering and computer science respectively from North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota. He joined the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN in fall 1988. Dr. Misra taught both graduate and undergraduate courses including software engineering, real-time systems, operating systems design, computer architecture, microprocessors, data and file structures. Dr. Misra's current research interests are in the area of software architecture and software product lines. As a graduate faculty member in Graduate Programs in Software (GPS), Dr. Misra was also the UNIX systems administrator and the Sybase Data Base administrator. During Dr. Misra’s tenure as a faculty member in GPS, the master’s in software engineering program became the largest graduate program in software in the United States. Dr. Misra publishes in IEEE and has presented for the Annual Small College Computing Symposiums. He has been awarded grants from the Department of Defense, Microware, Inc. for an OS/9 professional development package in his Real-Time system laboratory, and from Talent Software Service, Inc., to research performance and tuning of a production database management system. Dr. Misra was Vice President of Information Systems at RBC Dain Rauscher from 1998-2002. He GPS Courses:
