Interests:
Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, and Real-time Systems. Career History:Dr. Misra's robust 30-year career spans the fields of industry and academics. Since joining the University of St. Thomas as a full-time faculty in 1988, he has taught numerous Graduate and Undergraduate courses. At the Graduate level these include: Software Engineering, Real-Time Systems, Operating Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Microprocessors, Data and File Structures. At the Undergraduate level these include: Operating Systems, Data and File Structures, C, Pascal, FORTRAN, BASIC, Lotus, Excel, dBase III+, and Access. In addition, he has taught UNIX workshops over 50 times. Dr. Misra worked as a UNIX system administrator and Sybase DBA for the Graduate Programs in Software (GPS) at the University of St. Thomas. As an IT/IS consultant to local industry he has provided leadership and mentorship to IT/IS teams consisting of UNIX systems administrators, Sybase database administrators, SQL database administrators, DB2/UDB database administrators, data modelers, Data Warehouse analysts, and Data Warehouse developers.
