| Students gain a management perspective and a development process for planning, estimating, and controlling software development. They learn to develop a well-defined plan before beginning any software development effort; how to handle changes during the execution of the plan; how to incorporate quality criteria in the development cycle; and how to use methods to keep the project on track. Included in the course is the use of project management software and simulation software in the development and control of the project plan.(If credit is received for this course students cannot receive credit for SEIS621 [CSIS526].)
