Post-MA Degree Certificate Program in Family Psychology

The certificate program is designed to prepare students for licensing in Minnesota as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) after one has completed a master's degree in counseling psychology or a closely related field.  As an area of concentration the family psychology certificate program introduces students to systemic theories and techniques.  Successful completion of 15 hours of study followed by a 3 credit internship is required.

Admission

Admission to the Post-MA Certificate Program requires a master's degree in counseling or a closely related field. To be considered for admission, the file must contain the following materials:

1.  Completed application form and $50.00 application fee

2.  Official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts

Program Costs

The program tuition for the academic year 2008-2009 is $581.50 per credit hour.
