Program Overview

Our Doctor of Psychology degree in Counseling Psychology is designed with the practitioner as a central focus. Its practitioner-scholar model prepares psychologists to provide psychological assessment and clinical interventions grounded in a foundation of research and best practices.  This program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).

Our Master of Arts degree in counseling prepares counselors to provide personal, emotional and career counseling services. Grounded in the practitioner-scholar model, this program leads to licensing as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). 

Our Marriage and Family Certification program uses the practitioner-scholar model to prepare students for licensing in Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT). The certificate may be obtained as a part of the master?s degree in Counseling or as a post-master?s certificate

Faculty members in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology are experienced licensed psychologists who bring their professional background into the classroom. In addition, adjunct faculty who are experienced practicing professionals bring their expertise to specific classes where their background and experience can be most helpful.

The Adult Learning Model

Our programs are designed to meet the needs of mid-career adults.Courses are offered in the late afternoon or weekends to  accommodate the schedules of working professionals. Your experience and background are honored and incorporated into these programs.
