Thank you for your interest in the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Professional Psychology. Pursuing a master's or doctoral degree here will offer you the skills and experiences you need to change the world, one life at a time.
Located on the Minneapolis campus of the University of St. Thomas, the Graduate School of Professional Psychology offers Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology degrees in counseling psychology. We are committed to addressing the diverse needs of students through a variety of learning strategies that create a supportive and challenging environment.
We offer a Practitioner-Scholar model of training, which emphasizes the importance of preparing counselors and psychologists to provide direct service to clients.
Our graduate programs teach clinical skills within the framework of ethical practice. The M.A., developed in the mid-1970s, and the Psy.D., initiated in 1990, provide practitioner-oriented education for professionals serving the public and private mental health fields.
