How do I set up an exchange?

While planning, keep in mind that a meal exchange must be picked up and Dining Services does not provide a place for your meal exchange.  Decide the date you wish to have your exchange, contact facilities to request a location.  Once you have a location reserved contact the Student Dining Coordinator 651-962-6067 or complete the forms needed and drop them at the Dining Services Office @ MHC 257.

1) Menus:
A menu must be turned in one week prior to your exchange.
Signatures must be turned in three days prior to your exchange.
Forms for these are under the Forms link under the Meal Exchange header on the right. Indicate on the form which meal you are ordering and your choices for options that are with that menu.
Do not forget to specify your beverage choice of either
a lemonade cup and milk, a two lemonade cups, or a soda per person.  IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY your choices your order maybe delayed while the Student Dining Coordinator attempts to reach you for these choices.

2) Date and Pick up:
What day and time are you going to pick up the exchange?
Monday - Friday between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm
Saturday & Sunday between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm

3) Number of Students:
Approximately how many people will participate?
Estimate how many people will be attending for menu form.
Post and collect names, banner id numbers and signatures from all students whom wish to participate.  Numbers will be adjusted from the forms turned in.  The earlier you plan and start inviting the better the turn out will be for your exchange.

Each student must give his or her consent to participate by signing the signature participation page.  Use of a student's Banner ID without their consent is prohibited.

Event Day: Signatures due by noon on:
Sunday the Wednesday before
Monday the Thursday before
Tuesday the Friday before
Wednesday the Friday before
Thursday the Monday before
Friday the Tuesday before
Saturday the Wednesday before

4) Where do I pick up my meal exchange?
Go to either entrance of the Student Dining Room and tell the Checker that you are there to pick up a meal exchange. Go to the main kitchen entrance by the Murrary Hall elevator and let a staff member know that you are there to pick up a meal exchange.
A staff person will be around to assist you.  REMEMBER, when you come to pick up your meal exchange, it will be useful to bring some additional people to help carry your order.

5) What do I do after the meal exchange?
All items that are not disposable must be returned to the kitchen following your event.  All items must be returned clean and in good condition.  If utensils, pans, etc. are missing or damaged your Hall account will be charged a fee.
