Robbinsdale Association of Retired Educators (RARE)

RARE is announcing a one year scholarship for persons interested in a career in education.  The value of the scholarship is $1000.  Applicants must have completed at least two years of college by September 2008 and have a connection with the Robbinsdale School District (ISD #281).

Frank J. Richter Scholarship

The American Association of Railroad Superintendents is pleased to announce the availability of annual scholarships.  To be eligible an applicant must be enrolled full-time with a preference given to those applicants enrolled in the transportation field, maintain a 2.75 or better GPA, and must be at least a sophomore in the fall of 2008.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship

The Abbott and Fenner Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors, as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.  Applicants will write an essay on a topic posted on the website.

Apogee-Search Scholarship Program

This program wants students to put themselves in the minds of their advertisers and create a social media marketing campaign for a generic product or service of their choosing.  The winner of this scholarship program will receive $1000.

Evelyn Lenander Education Scholarship

The Central Minnesota Community Foundation sponsors this scholarship.  Applicants must have completed 2 years of college credits and have been accepted into a program leading to a degree in elementary education.  Recipients must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better.  Preference is given to students having a permanent residence within a 25 mile radius of Buffalo Lake.  Eligibility will then be expanded to include other students from Central Minnesota.

Radio and Television News Directors Foundation 2008 Electronic Journalism Scholarships

This organization sponsors scholarships such as the Ed Bradley Scholarship, Ken Kashiwahara Scholarship, Carole Simpson Scholarship, Pete Wilson Journalism Scholarship, and more.
