City of Minneapolis Scholarship
for Minneapolis High School Seniors

Application Procedures

To be considered for the program you must meet each of the following criteria:

  1. Applicants must be a currently enrolled high school senior in a Minneapolis public or private high school.
  2. Applicants must be a senior in the 2009-2010 school year.
  3. Applicants must be a resident of the city of Minneapolis.
  4. Applicants must complete and submit an application for undergraduate admission to the University of St. Thomas prior to March 1, 2010. Click on apply for more information.

By March 1, 2010, scholarship candidates must:

  1. File a 2010-2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please request that the results be sent to the University of St. Thomas, school code #002345.
  2. Submit a City of Minneapolis Scholarship Application form.
  3. Submit a 2010-11 University of St. Thomas Verification Worksheet for Dependent Student or Verification Worksheet for Independent Student.
  4. Submit signed copies of student and parent (or guardian) 2009 federal income tax returns, including copies of all 2009 W-2 forms.

Note: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may be filed electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
