The Dean's Grant

The Dean's Grant has been established to provide financial support for those Undergraduate Evening Program students who were not awarded financial aid equal to determined need under the federal, state and institutional guidelines but who have a definite need for financial assistance due to special circumstances. Grants range up to $1200 per semester.

To apply for the Dean's Grant a student must:

  • Be an admitted student in the Undergraduate Evening Program;
  • Have submitted the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)*;
  • Have applied for financial aid through the University of St. Thomas' Undergraduate Financial Aid Office;
  • Have not been awarded financial aid equal to financial need as determined by the Undergraduate Financial Aid Office;
  • Submit a completed Undergraduate Evening Program Dean's Grant application online including a one page essay describing your special financial needs for the semester of application to the Financial Aid Office.

Applications for the Dean's Grant are processed on a first come first served basis. New applications will be reviewed and awarded as long as funds remain. Application deadlines are:

  • Fall term         August 15
  • Spring term     January 15
  • Summer term  May 14
