Policy on the Certification/Approval of Student Loans
Student Loans (i.e. Federal Direct, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS, Private Educational Loans) can be certified by the Financial Aid Office prior to a student's intended enrollment or during the actual enrollment period. Private Educational Loans will not be certified after a period of enrollment unless the student has a past due balance with the University (i.e. referred to as a "Look Back Loan"). In that case, the maximum amount of loan that will be approved will be for the exact amount of the student's outstanding balance with the University. NOTE: Bar Exam Loans for Law students are different and will be certified/approved according to the terms of the lender.
