Tammy joined the University of St. Thomas in 1999 as an administrative specialist in the Undergraduate Financial Aid Office. In 2001, she joined the undergraduate counseling team for the department and in 2005 became an Assistant Director. Tammy received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Iowa State University and received her Master of Social Work degree from the College of St. Catherine/University of St. Thomas in 2003. Her primary roles are providing financial aid counseling to undergraduate transfer students and administering the Minnesota State Grant program.

Marla has been at St. Thomas for more than 25 years serving as the assistant director of financial aid, the director of undergraduate admissions and the associate vice president for admissions and financial aid.  She is a proud graduate of the University of North Dakota with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and an M.S. in Counseling with a concentration in management.  Although she did not attend St. Thomas (they weren’t coed at the time), she is proud to say that both of her sons are Tommie graduates.  Sam ’07 graduated with a major in biology and Jake ’09 graduated with majors in business and environmental studies.  Both are gainfully employed in their fields and neither of them lives in her basement.

James graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2002 with a BA in Journalism  and completed a MA in English Literature in 2010. James transferred to UST from the University of Wisconsin-Madison after a year of lectures with 300+ classmates and no professor interaction. James found exactly what he was looking for at UST and currently works with other transfer students from four-year public instituitions as well as students from area high schools to help them access a St. Thomas education. James paid for 100 percent of his college education at UST through a combination of hard work and financing and he is eager to help you determine how you can do the same.

Kris earned her BA from St. Olaf College and MBA from the University of St. Thomas.

Brian graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2006 with a B.A. in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Theology. He received his M.A. in Leadership in Student Affairs from UST in 2009 and has served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling. Originally an out-of-state student himself, Brian works primarily with our out-of-state students from Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota as a Senior Admissions and Financial Aid Counselor. Brian loves the Twin Cities for its vibrant music and arts scene and its many dog parks.
