How to Apply

The Basic Application Process

• Apply for undergraduate admission and be admitted to a degree or certificate program.
• File the  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.gov. Make sure you include the University of St. Thomas federal school code (002345) on your application. 
• Respond promptly to all requests for additional information from the Financial Aid Office.
• The Financial Aid Office will begin sending award notices to students with a complete financial aid file in early March.

The University of St. Thomas will determine your financial aid eligibility and send you a Notification of Award once all requested information has been received and processed. This notification will list the types of aid programs and the amounts for which you qualify.

Paper FAFSA

The U.S. Department of Education strongly encourages applicants to file electronically. Paper applications are no longer made available to schools, but students can download a paper FAFSA by selecting "FAFSA Filing Options" on the FAFSA homepage.

Murphy Online Student Information System

Murphy Online is the University's online student information system.  After receiving a student ID and personal identification number, a student can use Murphy Online to access financial aid applications and award information.
