Financial Aid Policy for Law Students Visiting Away

The Financial Aid Office at the University of St. Thomas (home institution) will enter into Financial Aid Consortium (contractual) Agreements for students that are approved by the Law School Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to visit away during the academic year (Fall/Spring terms) at an approved ABA Law School (host institution) and who will be enrolled full-time. It will be the student's responsibility to complete the appropriate FAFSA application and to contact the financial aid office at the host institution and obtain a financial aid contact person's name, address, phone and fax number and provide that information to the Director of Graduate Financial Aid at the University of St. Thomas. All University of St. Thomas scholarships/fellowships will be cancelled when a student visits away. Students that study away will be assessed a Law Consortium Study Fee each term. For more information about the fee contact the Law School Assistant Dean for Administration. All student loans will be disbursed according to the University of St. Thomas law school academic calendar. It will be the student's responsibility to pay their direct charges at the host institution.

Financial Aid Consortium Agreements and financial aid will only be processed in summer for students who are approved to study abroad at an approved ABA Law School by the University of St. Thomas' Office of Study Abroad and the Law School Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
