The St. Thomas Film Society is for students interested in watching and talking about movies, learning about the possibilities for careers in film, and for those who want to make their own movies. The club sponsors on-campus screenings of previously released films, and arranges field trip to see premiers of new movies. There are meetings on campus to hear from film professionals and scholars about the state of the industry and the possibilities for jobs in film. Finally, the Film Society supports student film makers with equipment, crews, actors and advice for making films, especially for those that will be entered in the ACTC Student Film Festival.
