About the ACTC Student Film Festival

The Associated College of the Twin Cities (ACTC) -- St. Thomas, St. Catherine, Hamline, Macalester and Augsburg -- sponsors an annual film festival for students who have produced their own movies. Students at any one of the five colleges may submit a film for the festival that is then judged by a panel of filmmakers and professors who select the “best films” from among the submissions. The finalists for best film are screened at a local movie theater with an awards ceremony and reception following. The ACTC Student Film Festival is held during the fall semester each year, with submission deadlines at the end of September, and the screenings, awards ceremony, and reception held in October.
