11th International
Writing Across the Curriculum Conference 

From June 7-9, 2012, a contingent of five UST faculty participated in the 11th International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Catherine Craft-Fairchild (English), Dr. Sherry Jordon (Theology), Dr. Cheri Shakiban (Mathematics), Dr. James Heyman (Marketing) and Dr. Erika Scheurer (English) presented papers, got lots of useful ideas about writing across the curriculum programs and courses from faculty across the United States as well as the world.

WAC Resources on Blackboard

Enter the Writing across the Curriculum Blackboard site to find resources on a variety of topics connected to the use of student writing in your teaching.  All of the handouts help clarify course goals or objectives through writing assignments, feedback, and grading.  They are organized into 5 categories:

Getting to the Writing across the Curriculum Blackboard site:

  1. Log in to Blackboard
  2. Click on the Community tab
  3. On the right side is the Organization Catalog
  4. Second down is Academic Resources
  5. The last one on the list is Writing Across the Curriculum
  6. Click “Enroll”
