Blended Course Design - Summer Seminar Update

The Blended Course Design summer seminar teaches faculty how to incorporate online learning into an existing course. Jason Rhode (Northern Illinois University) led the three-day seminar which faculty explored the advantages of blended learning through pedagogical options, tools for meaningful communication, and ways of successful assessment of student participation and work.

View the video update from Carol Bruess (Communication & Journalism) on what she gleaned from the seminar.

To showcase her course re-design, Carol created a video tour of her Blackboard course for Family Communication (COJO 472) which includes the new Blackboard Blog and interactive Rubric tools. To learn about Blackboard tools for blended learning visit the IRT Blackboard Support page.
