Course Management

Murphy administrative software:  

• Mange personal data and PIN; 
• Faculty and Advisor information: enter grades, registration overrides, view class lists, obtain information on student records including degree evaluations;
• Employee Services:  view pay and benefits and deductions, manage time sheet

Important dates to remember to incoroporate into the syllabus:  

FALL SEMESTER

• First and last day of class
• Midterm break (Friday) mid-fall semester 
• Thanksgiving recess (Thur-Fri)
• Final exam date and time

J-TERM

• First and last day of class
• Martin Luther King holiday (Monday, mid-Jan)
• Final exam date and time

SPRING SEMESTER

• First and last day of class
• Spring break week in middle of spring semester, 
• Easter Friday and Monday (if separate from spring break)
• Final exam date and time

Blackboard course management system:  

Blackboard can be used to post announcments, send email to specific groups of your students, host discussion sessions and chats,  post online quizzes or surveys, record grades that may or may not be viewed by students.  For tips on using Blackboard, see link to the right.
