Faculty Resources

The Center for Faculty Development provides assistance to all faculty in all stages of their career.

The Center's office located in 403 OSF houses a library collection of books and videos relevant to teaching and learning.  Both  books and videos can be checked out from the Center staff and retained for as long as one semester, unless requested by another faculty member.

The Center provides a classroom consulting service to faculty desiring more in-depth formative feedback on their teaching.  This service is provided by trained professionals and is completely confidential

The Center publishes its Synergia newsletter four times a year.  Current and past issues of this publication contain useful articles on issues faced by instructors in the classroom.

Information especially relevant to new faculty and adjunct faculty is provided on a separate page (see link to the left).

The page on "Teaching Tips " provides links to websites on a variety of topics, including course design, syllaubs, classroom assessment (graded and non-graded), discussion, and group work.
