Dr. Buffy Smith, Associate Professor Sociology & Criminal JusticeEnhancing Peer Mentoring Relationships, led by ‌Dr. Buffy Smith, associate professor in Sociology and Criminal Justice and Faculty Development mentoring consultant, is designed to promote and support mentoring among faculty at UST and provide junior and senior faculty with practical strategies for establishing and sustaining meaningful peer mentoring relationships.

The 90-minute mentee workshop is intended for junior faculty mentees and focuses on practical strategies for establishing and sustaining meaningful mentoring relationships with faculty mentors.

Participation in the mentee workshop will help junior faculty to:

  • understand the benefits and importance of seeking mentoring relationships with mid career and senior colleagues
  • build social capital by participating in mentoring relationships
  • gain tips for becoming a successful mentee

Three mentee workshops are offered; choose the mentee workshop that best fits your schedule.
