The Faculty Development Committee
is a standing committee of the faculty, charged with
furthering the professional growth and development of the
faculty. The committee establishes overall policy for
operation of the Faculty Development Program at the
University and is actively involved in the awarding of sabbatical
leaves and grant programs. The Director of
Faculty Development is a member of the faculty nominated
by the Faculty Development Committee and appointed by the
Vice President for Academic Affairs to a three-year term.
The Associate Director of Faculty Development works in
conjunction with the Director to design and implement the
activities of the Center.
