Family Weekend at the University of St. Thomas
Family Weekend is one of the great traditions at the University of St. Thomas – a time for faculty, staff and students to host the friends and families of our students. Please plan to join us for Family Weekend 2014 - October 3-5. We look forward to seeing you!
Postcard invitations will be mailed to the families of undergraduate students in late August, 2014.
A few highlights for the weekend, make sure to check back for the full three day schedule.
Experience Academic: Life at St. Thomas - Friday, October 3 | 8:00-4:30 p.m.
Visit a classroom with your son or daughter. Most regularly scheduled classes are open and you are encouraged to attend them with your students. Encourage your student to ask their instructor before you visit to ensure there is space in the classroom.
Guided Relaxation - Friday, October 3 | 4:30-5:30 p.m.
The demands of life can quickly distract us from feeling well, whole, and otherwise human. Mindfulness Practice honors these existential needs by directing our attention to the present moment, without being critical of ourselves or being carried away by thought. Whether you are experienced or new to mindfulness practice, please consider joining us in the Wellness Center for a guided meditation session. It is a great way to start the Family Weekend.
