- Going Undercover as an Attorney: Inside Operation Greylord
     o Nov. 6, 2008: This event featured Terry Hake, who as a young attorney served three and a half years in an undercover capacity in Cook County, Illinois in the early 1980s in one of the largest federal investigations of judicial and other public corruption in our nation's history.  In posing as a corrupt state's attorney taking payoffs and then as a corrupt defense attorney paying bribes, Hake's undercover efforts led to federal indictments and convictions of judges, attorneys, court and law enforcement personnel.  His is a remarkable story of dedication, sacrifice, and courage.  
- Leadership, Gender, and Judicial Selection
     o Oct. 17, 2008: This program was co-sponsored with the Infinity Project and focused on the challenge of increasing women judges generally, but on the Eighth Circuit in particular. University of Maryland law professor Sherrilyn Ifill spoke, followed by a panel of Eighth Circuit judges including Judge Diana Murphy, explaining the work of an Eighth Circuit judge.
- Visions of Women's Leadership
     o Oct. 24, 2008: This forum presented two panels on Women's Leadership in Business and in Law, sponsored by the Holloran Center, Center for Ethical Business Cultures, and many other organizations. Keynote addresses were given by Mary Pawlenty, former state court judge, and Jill Wine-Banks, former Watergate prosecutor, Army General Counsel, and Illinois Deputy Attorney General.
- How an Attorney Can Lose Everything By "Borrowing" Client Funds
    o Sept. 3, 2008: This event featured Tom White, former attorney and felon; Mike Colich, White's defense counsel; and moderator Hank Shea, UST Law Professor and White's Prosecutor. The University of St. Thomas School of Law hosted the event which presented lessons learned from white collar crime with students, lawyers, and community members.
- Dr. James O'Toole Gives Lecture on Values-Based Leadership in the Professions
    o March 12, 2008: James O’Toole, known internationally for his writing and speaking on values-based leadership, spoke at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Michael DeMane, Chief Operating Officer, Medtronic, and Kim Nelson, President, Snacks Division, General Mills, responded to Dr. O'Toole's remarks on a panel following his presentation. 
- Symposium: Formation of Professional Identity 
    o Feb. 2, 2008: The Holloran Center hosted several respected scholars across a range of professions at the St. Thomas Law School campus on the topic of professional development. 
- 2007 Business Law Institute
    o May 16, 2007: UST Law Professor Neil Hamilton, Director of the Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership in the Professions, and UST Senior Distinguished Fellow Hank Shea made a joint plenary appearance at the 2007 Business Law Institute, along with Donald Snede, a felon and former CFO of Midwest Federal Savings and Loan. Shea, who prosecuted Snede in the collapse of the Midwest Federal and Snede, whose cooperation then helped obtain convictions of Harold Greenwood and other Midwest Federal senior executives, made the unique presentation “Crime and Consequences: One Insider’s Story” regarding the failure of Midwest Federal and subsequent prosecutions. Hamilton explored the lawyer’s role in building in ethical culture to prevent such failures and crimes. 
- CLE: The Consequences of Attorney Misconduct
    o April 19, 2007: UST Senior Distinguished Fellow Hank Shea and disbarred attorney Stephen Rondestvedt were featured in a CLE entitled "The Consequences of Attorney Misconduct."
- First Annual Fredrikson & Byron Distinguished Lecture, in honor of John P. Byron
    o April 12, 2007: the Holloran Center hosted noted pollster Daniel Yankelovich to speak about his new book, Profit with Honor. A panel presentation sponsored by Medtronic followed featuring commentary to Yankelovich's book and his remarks about stewardship ethics. The panel included Gary Holmes, President and Owner of CSM Corporation., Marti Morfitt, former President and CEO of CNS, Inc., and Steve Mahle, Executive VP and President of Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management for Medtronic.
