Students have central roles in our research
Marianna Moffatt (‘14) has spent 3 years working on environmental research with her advisor Kris Wammer. Her project involves quantifying antibiotic resistance levels to major drug classes in Minnesota surface waters. Her work is funded in part by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund. Maia has presented her work at two American Chemical Society national meetings and was awarded the Chemistry Department's Analytical Chemistry award in Spring 2013. After finishing at St. Thomas, Maia plans to attend medical school.
