UST English faculty and students are enouraged to attend a session or two of the annual ACTC English Majors Conference, hosted this year by Hamline University. Come show your support for our UST English major presenters! Below are our respective representatives in each of the five presentation categories:

  • British Literature: Andrew Carr, "The Fear of Invocation"
  • American Literature: Alyssa Adkins, "A Beautiful Ancient Meal: The Role of Food in The Middle of Everywhere"
  • Multicultural/World Literature: Callie Wilson, "Carrie and Sally: Women Defined by Men in Theodore Dreiser's Sister Carrie and Sandra Cisneros's The House on Mango Street"
  • Film/Theory/New Media: Samantha Schwab, "The Sacrificed Truth: Media Culture and Attempted Objectivity in Native Son and Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992"
