
The English Department offers a variety of topics for study each semester, including classes that fulfill the university's core curriculum requirements in Literature and Writing and Human Diversity; classes that satisfy various allied requirements in other St. Thomas programs including American Cultural Studies, Catholic Studies, Health and Human Performance, Women's Studies, and departments within the College of Business; and, of course, classes that fulfill various distribution and course-level requirements for its own majors and minors.

Serving approximately 65 students each semester, the English Department offers five or six courses in both the spring and fall semesters and two summer courses that run from mid-June to mid-August.
