Career

Dr. Martin has participated as a scientist and leader in the medical device industry for over 25 years. He has held leadership positions in large companies such Cardiac Pacemakers Inc ; Medtronic and NAMSA. In these roles he has led both preclinical and clinical evaluation functions and has helped develop numerous significant medical devices. He has also served in leadership roles in early stage companies including Optical Sensors for Medicine and CVRx. Dr. Martin co-founded the Integra Group, a Minneapolis Medical Research Organization and served as its Chief Medical Officer. This company was acquired by NAMSA in 2012. He has 19 US patents issued or under review. He is a frequent international speaker on translational research of medical device related topics.
