Join Us for a Different Kind of Career Fair…
Please be our guest at UST School of Engineering, Meet the Engineers of the Future event, where we turn the tables on the normal career fair. In this case, the upper level engineering students present themselves with a poster board and standby as prospective employers walk among and talk with students about their particular interests and talents. With no booths to prepare, we hope that you and your company will find the event a convenient way to meet some highly talented students.
It’s not your typical career fair, but then again the University of St Thomas is not where you will find your typical Engineer. We truly feel that we are doing something special here with the young exploring minds who attend St Thomas, and we invite you to come and see for yourself. We strongly believe that an Engineering education is about rolling up your sleeves on projects, getting your hands dirty and wrapping your mind around ideas which have the potential to change our world.
What You’ll See:
Last year, more than 50 promising Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students participated. Students interested in full-time employment and internships represent themselves with a small poster board. Each comes prepared for a hand shake and (hopefully) a compelling story to match your company’s needs. Students resumes are posted on-line in advance for your preview. Employers walk among the crowd visiting with students at their own pace.
