Higher Education Student Association

The Higher Education Student Association (HESA) is a student organization at the University of St. Thomas organized for graduate students pursuing a career in Higher Education.

As our Mission states:
HESA strives to create a community of graduate students and professionals dedicated to promoting leadership within the field of student affairs.

Membership 

Membership is open to Leadership in Student Affairs graduate students. Membership Dues are $30 for a life-time membership. To join, or for additional information, please contact Gretchen Switalski.

History

HESA originated in 2005 thanks to the dedicated efforts of HESA's first executive board members: Jess Cook, Bethany Nelson, McKenna Schumacher, Jess Webb, and Katie Justis. With the guidance of their faculty advisor, Dr. Kate Boyle, HESA was able to recruit members and plan many successful events.
