
MINNEAPOLIS - Dr. Paulette Sankofa, alumna of the doctorate of education in critical pedagogy from the University of St. Thomas, has been appointed associate academic dean at the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. There, she will also direct the doctor of ministry at the ecumenical seminary.
Dr. Sankofa has served as board president of Northside Residents Redevelopment Council and was a former director of Women Against Military Madness.
She is an ordained deacon for the African Methodist Episcopal Church and was a Bush scholar at the College of St. Catherine. During her time at St. Catherine, she was an authority on dismantling racism. She intends to continue her research on fostering resilience in young African American girls.
