State Exams for Teacher Licensure
The State of Minnesota requires for licensure that minimum scores be met on the Praxis I and Praxis II exams. Praxis I (PPST) is taken as part of the admissions process to the School of Education, and tests basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Consult the ETS Web site for test sites, fees and dates.
Transcript Areas Evaluated
Your transcripts will be evaluated to determine:
- Applicable education coursework
- Content area coursework (specialty areas for 5-12, K-12 and middle level areas for K-8)
- Additional college-level mathematics and science coursework for K-8 licensure.
If you have additional information which you believe would change the evaluator's decisions, please share issues and materials with your course instructor in TEGR 501.
