Licensure and Master of arts in education - K-12 Teaching

Earn your Master of Arts in Education with a K-12 Licensure. This program offers you the opportunity to gain the personal and professional expertise necessary to become a successful teacher.

  • Study a broad base of methods and pedagogical knowledge
  • Earn your K-12 Licensure
  • Clinical field experiences in area schools
  • Student teaching experience 

Once you have successfully completed the program requirements you will be recommended by the University of St. Thomas to the State of Minnesota for teaching licensure.
 
The University of St. Thomas teacher education programs are fully accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. School of Education licensure programs prepare students for the most recent licensing requirements established by the Minnesota Department of Children, Families and Learning and the Minnesota Board of Teaching.
