Advisement

Once you have been admitted into a teacher education program, you have two types of advisement available to you:

  • For routine program advisement, you may talk with the Academic and Advising Services Coordinator.
  • For professional development and career options, you may talk with a faculty adviser who will be assigned once you are admitted to the program.
  • If you are unable to meet with an advisor before registering for your first term, consider taking courses from the Foundations Block as well as TEGR 501.

Transcript Areas Evaluated

Your transcripts will be evaluated to determine:

  • Applicable education coursework
  • Content area coursework (specialty areas for 5-12, K-12 and middle level areas for K-8)
  • Additional college-level mathematics and science coursework for K-8 licensure.

f you have additional information which you believe would change the evaluators decisions, please share issues and materials with your course instructor in TEGR 501.
