Admissions committee members interview each finalist. This process consists of an interview on campus in a structured interview format with faculty and members of previous cohorts.
Step Four
The admissions committee selects the cohort. A variety of factors are considered in the creation of the cohort. The maximum mixture of factors is necessary to reflect the field and the changing socio-cultural climate and to create the most powerful learning community possible.
Guidelines for cohort member selection and the rationale for their use will be determined by the admissions committee and will include factors such as:
- The student's profile, which demonstrates the ability to engage in a challenging program, scholarship, commitment to the field of OD and involvement of reflective practice
- Representation from a variety of organizations
- Representation across industries
- Equity factor (e.g. racial/cultural diversity, gender, educational backgrounds, years of professional experience)
