Introduction to Human Resource Leadership (HRDO 546 – 3 Credits)
- Study the fundamental theories and practices of human resource development (HRD), human resource management (HRM) and organization development (OD).
- Explore human resource leadership roles and trends impacting organizations.
Program Evaluation Strategies and Applications (HRDO 514 – 3 Credits)
- Study role of research and evaluation in organizations.
- Evaluate designs and models for studies.
- Learn methodologies for data collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Understand guidelines for communicating findings.
- Review critical philosophical, political and ethical issues.
- Critique a published work.
- Create a full-length evaluation plan for a program within your organization.
- Deliver a presentation in which they advocate for support of their evaluation plan.
Learning Systems Design and Delivery (HRDO 549 – 3 Credits)
- Build knowledge and skills in using a systems approach to the design of instruction programs focusing on performance improvement systems.
- Examine instruction models and fundamentals of instruction design.
- Learn effective delivery methods and training techniques.
Organization Development: Diagnosis, Design and Intervention Systems (HRDO 604 – 3 Credits)
- Integrate the application, research, and theory (ARTTM) of planned organizational change.
- Gain a wide range of strategies and techniques related to the critical systems of organization development.
- Review organizational culture, power, team building, leadership development, strategic planning, large-scale change efforts, process consulting, 360-degree assessments and organizational structure.

E-learning and Knowledge Management (HRDO 597 – 3 Credits)
- Explore the impact of technology on human resource leadership practice.
- Study technology and e-learning applications.
- Review the use of technology in managing information or knowledge management.
- Discuss the impact of technology on people in organizations.
- Discover how technology can best be used.
- Gain knowledge of the various technological applications in human resources.

Career Development: Aligning Individuals and Organizations (HRDO 608 – 3 Credits)
- Integrate organizational career management and individual career planning systems in work settings.
- Examine various models of career development.
- Reflect on the interaction of an individual’s career development with the objectives and needs of the organization.
- Discover the linkage of career development to other components and issues within the human resources arena.
- Explore strategies and tools needed to implement career development within the context of the organization.
Talent Assessment Systems and Methods (HRDO 640 – 3 Credits)
- Learn to administer, interpret and provide guidance to employees through the use of a number of career assessment instruments and strategies.
- Advise employees and management regarding hiring, promotions, employee training and development needs and issues.
- Gain knowledge of testing content and construct validity, test reliability and objectivity issues, and legal considerations.
One Elective
Internship (HRDO 570 – 3 credits)
- Participate in a 200-hour, on-the-job application project that synthesizes course outcomes.
