Building Your Portfolio Structure
Adding Text to a Blackboard Portfolio Page
The first video helps you to avoid formatting issues that result from copying and pasting text directly from a Word document. One solution is to use an intermediary program such as Notepad to remove the formatting from the Word document and to paste into the portfolio editor from that.
[Note: If you are using a Mac you would use a program called TextEdit, which is found inside the Applications folder.]
Giving Public Permissions to Portfolio Documents
The second video deals with a very important component of the portfolio - adding public permissions to all artifacts. Every file that is linked in your portfolio page should have the permissions set to "public". The following video will show you how to make sure that is the case for each embedded file. This is vital to make sure that our all of the systems related to the portfolio run smoothly.
