Delivering Effective Adult Education

Community education professionals need a strong understanding of how to educate adults as well as the many varied issues associated with community education programs in a public setting. These professionals need to work with civic leaders and citizens to deliver cost-effective programs that meet the needs of the population. Administrators need to have skills in teaching, management, public relations, program management, evaluation and assessment.

This program will provide you with enhanced concepts and competencies in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs where you will:

St. Thomas is one of only a few programs in the United States that offers a master’s degree in community education. You’ll benefit from real-world perspective through an internship and integrative concluding seminar. You’ll create a portfolio in your area of interest.
