Technology is becoming a part of every facet of life-especially for kids in school today. Your students are becoming more technologically savvy every day. Learn how to use technology to enhance your students' education through technology with the Online Certificate in Learning Technologies from the University of St. Thomas. Graduate certificate credits apply to a Master of Arts in Learning Technology, Gifted, Creative and Talented Education, or Curriculum and Instruction

An online learning technologies certificate will help you:

  • Increase your knowledge of technology learning systems.
  • Be equipped with more tools for your students.
  • Become a source of technology information within your school.
  • Serve as an opinion leader on technology purchases.
  • Advise administrators and teachers on how to use technology tools.
  • Keep an electronic portfolio to demonstrate your progress and technology competency.

Key Features

  • Four graduate courses (12 semester credits) with credits applicable to a master's degree.
  • Convenient online courses.
  • Apply what you learn immediately on the job.
  • Individualized electronic portfolios showcase your ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning (projects ranging from desktop publishing to Web-linked).

Much more than software training

Through brainstorming and collaboration, you'll stretch and expand technological tools to meet classroom needs.  Just as importantly, you'll gain an understanding of the theoretical framework of technology, and how it best connects to school curricula.

Not Tech-Savvy?

You do not need a technology background to start the LT certificate program. Each student is given a different technology assessment to determine their comfort level and to allow them to move at their own pace. Each new technology is taught from scratch, without the assumption of previous knowledge. Course instructors are always available and are willing to help students use technology.

Master's Degree Foundation
