Explore major issues involved in the design and implementation of e-learning and knowledge management systems in various organizational settings.

Online Teaching and Evaluation (LHDT 548 - 3 Credits)
Study the pedagogy, assessment, and evaluation of e-learning.

Learn instructional strategies for synchronous and asynchronous training, principles of good practice, motivation, assessment tools and evaluation methods.

Instructional Design for E-learning (HRDO 600 - 3 Credits) 

Focus on procedures for designing and developing technology-enhanced instruction for E-Learning.

  • Instructional delivery strategies
  • Online module design, implementation, and assessment
  • Online course development software programs

E-learning Tools for Online Course Development (LHDT 550 - 3 Credits)

Examine tools used for creating e-learning content including. learning/course management systems, web site authoring tools, media tools, and content converters.

Review trends and e-learning standards.

  • Models of virtual schools and E-Learning organizations
  • Web-authoring tools
  • Effective strategies for synchronous and asynchronous training
  • Instructional strategies for Web-based collaborative conferencing system
  • Strategic planning for E-Learning and a virtual learning organization

Internship:  Learning Technologies (LHDT 571 - 3 Credits)

  • Participate in an on-the-job project.
