Dr. Permuth is a nationally renowned authority on education policy and law, school administration and urban education. At the age of 25, he was one of the youngest individuals ever to serve as a school principal in Minnesota. Dr. Permuth went on to become a leader in the Urban League, education dean at three institutions (Bradley University, Cleveland State University and University of South Florida) and provost and vice president for academic affairs at Bellarmine College. He has written four texts and numerous articles on school law, education policy and governance and is the editor of the International Journal of Education Reform. In recent years, he has also served as a consultant to the state of Florida and the U.S. Department of Education, among other organizations.
