Dr. Joseph Scherer

Dr. Scherer has been a vice president at Mindsurf Networks, an organization dedicated to improving student achievement by integrating technology with the needs of schools. He also has been a teacher in Minneapolis, managed a gubernatorial campaign, administered a teacher education program and served as a university faculty member. Scherer has been a vice president of HiFusion, Kaplan Learning Services and the Computer Curriculum Corporation, as well as an executive at IBM and Control Data Corporation. Prior to his private sector experience, Dr. Scherer spent nearly 20 years as an administrator of educational programs in Washington, D.C., including the National PTA, the American Association of School Administrators and the National School Public Relations Association.
