Dr. Diane Heacox

Dr. Diane Heacox has been a leader in advocating for the needs of gifted students in Minnesota for 20 years. She is a renowned national consultant and author of the book, "Up From Underachievement," published in 1991 by Free Spirit Press, with more than 45,000 copies sold. Dr. Heacox has guided many teachers to help them ensure that their classrooms are places where all students can learn and belong. A leader in Minnesota education, Dr. Heacox has been a tireless advocate for gifted learners. She currently serves as an associate professor of education at the College of St. Catherine.
