Application Deadlines

Admissions Criteria

Regular Admission

Master's, licensure or certificate (requirements for Ed.S. or Ed.D. vary by program):

  • G.P.A.: a cumulative minimum undergraduate G.P.A. of 3.0 (4.0 scale) or the successful completion of a graduate level program from another institution.

Supplementary Requirements

  • PRAXIS I (PPST): Required  for any candidate being admitted into an initial teacher licensure program.
  • ENGLISH PROFICIENCY: applicants whose primary language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) prior to being accepted.

Special Admission

Additional requirements for candidates who meet all regular admission requirements except the G.P.A. requirement.

  • G.P.A.: a cumulative minimum undergraduate G.P.A. of 2.75 (4.0 scale)
  • ADMISSION INTERVIEW: a candidate may be asked to interview with an admissions’ person/committee.
